Dear Reader

A very Happy New Year to you. Once again here is some news of what’s happening on the sunny Riviera this month and at Mediterraneum Editions:

  • A premiere for the Riviera : the very first guide in German, English, Italian AND Russian will come out in April 2007: RIVIERA A-Z.
This 200-page volume is being produced in partnership with the Banque Populaire Côte d’Azur, BPCA, and will have a print run of 20,000 copies. Residents and visitors of the most important foreign languages in the region will find useful numbers and information to make life easier.
  • New look for 2007: this year, our German language monthly Riviera-Côte d’Azur Zeitung celebrates its 15 th anniversary. What better milestone is there to refresh and rejuvenate the style of the front page with a new graphic design.

  • More sunshine in Germany: since the beginning of 2007, the Riviera-Côte d’Azur Zeitung has been bringing the southern Mediterranean lifestyle to Germany’s 82.5 million inhabitants. They can now find the only German language paper for the region between Marseille and Genova at 150 selected newsstands.

«Les Voeux»: What a wonderful tradition!

It is not easy working in January: every town, village institution and association invites friends and clients to welcome in the New Year around a glass of champagne or the traditional «galette». To name but a few: the government of Monaco (see picture), the Conseil Général and the Prefecture of the Alpes-Maritimes and the Var, the town of Nice and Saint Tropez, the Grimaldi Forum Monaco… what a lovely way to meet friends, get to know new people and wish them all A Happy 2007!

"Voeux" in Monaco, in the Minister of State's Residence, from left to right: Henri Fissore, Government Counsellor for External Relations, The Riviera Times editor Claire Lathbury, Robert Calcagno, Government Counsellor for Facilities, the Environment and Urban Planning, and Petra Hall, publishing director of Mediterraneum Editions."

The third Monte Carlo Travel Market (12 th-14 th January) sees again Mediterraneum Editions as a press partner. It should come as no surprise: readers of The Riviera Times, Riviera-Côte d’Azur Zeitung and Il Corriere della Costa Azzurra love to travel and they have the economic means to do so.

Just send us an email if you would like to receive free tickets! We are looking forward to seeing you at the Grimaldi Forum.

67% of the subscribers of Riviera-Côte d’Azur Zeitung keep every issue, many of them since 1992!
